May 2016 at Oyama

The beautiful month of May – a time to honor our mothers and to get ready for Oyama`s official launch into summer!

Celebrate Mom all weekend with tasty treats from Oyama!  Delicious patés and terrines, including favorites like Strasbourg Terrine, Pheasant Terrine and Wild Boar Terrine, or Mushroom Armagnac Pâté and many more.  We`re really going to town on sausages this year, such as Truffled Pheasant, Champagne Truffle Chicken, Italian Marsala and many more.  Not to mention a cornucopia of prosciuttos, salamis and cheeses to choose from to really celebrate Mom in style!  Happy Mother`s Day

Oooooooh yes, the true beginning of summer is this weekend when Oyama makes our famous Chili Cheese Brats and Southern Pulled Pork sausages!  These delectable sausages are only available for the summer long weekends, so be sure to order ahead!  Lots of other delicious BBQ sausages to choose from as well as tons of picnic ideas (pork pies, charcuterie, snacking sausages…).  Give your perfect Vancouver summer the right start!

Vancouver is celebrating Craft Beer Week and so are we!  Either we use local craft beer in our sausages, or we recommend many of our sausages to be enjoyed with local craft beer.  Either way we will make some super tasty things like Craft Beer Ham, Craft Beer Salami, Dark Beer Chorizo, Beer Brats and much more.  Prosit!

Asia is a huge continent and at Oyama we gather so much inspiration from the many flavors you come across right here in Vancouver, the gateway to the Pacific Rim – Japanese, Thai, Indian, Malaysian, Vietnamese…to name just a few.  Enjoy Sake Sesame Chicken, Miso Pork, Thai Green Curry Lamb, Rendang Beef, Teriyaki Duck, Night in Bangkok Bison and many more, as well as our incredible Chinese Plum Sauce Glazed Ham – wow!


Thursday April 21st to Sunday 24th – Bring Out the Bangers

For all our English ex-pats and anyone else who loves a great sausage – we bring you a weekend of an incredible selection of bangers, Gammon Bacon, Black Pudding and our world famous pork pies (these have passed the grueling tests of our customers)! Our delicious glazed ham of the week will be Orange Whiskey Glazed ham – mmmmmmmmmmm!

March 2016 at Oyama

With Easter occurring during spring break, we have a special Easter Fiesta to keep you in holiday mode while enjoying our delicious Swedish Ham and plenty of tantalizing treats!  How about Strasbourg Terrine, our giant Rosemary Campagne, and many more incredible patés and terrines?  Or, a cornucopia of charcuterie from salamis to chorizos to prosciuttos galore.  Don`t forget to stock up on breakfast sausages, we make the best!

The month of love is upon us and at Oyama we always feel the love (especially for sausages)!  Since this is a leap year, enjoy a whole extra day of Oyama Sausages this year!  Also, don`t forget, we are open on Family Day, so why not bring the family to Granville Island for some fun, then stop in the Public Market to pick up dinner!  Celebrate with our great events:

Thursday February 18th-Sunday 21st – Viva Italia!

Everyone loves Italian and at Oyama we love  to viva it up with a huge array of Italian inspired sausages, salamis, etc.  Check out some of our delicious sausages like Spicy Italian, Mild Italian with Fennel, Italian Basil Sausages, Montalcino, Roasted Fennel Sausages and more.  Our almost infamous Finocchiona Salami with just the right amount of wild fennel makes for the perfect addition to your charcuterie tray, along with some Hot Capicollo, Bison Bressaola, Parma Prosciutto and much more.  Our neighbor Duso`s Pasta will provide you with all your favorite antipasti like olives, tapenade and more, as well as dozens of different kinds of fresh pasta  for the perfect Italian meal.  Head over to Liberty Wines on Granville Island for a nice wine, they have lots of recommendations.  Buon Appetito!
